Book Description:
Nate Peters is living the playboy life. He has great friends, a great job, no responsibilities, no girlfriend, and he loves it. Nate, being incredibly skilled with a pick-up line, has never failed to get a girl in his life… until one day he meets Rosie York. Rosie is completely uninterested in him. Being unable to stand a dented ego, Nate makes it his mission to win her over. Not used to putting in much effort, Nate is surprisingly enjoying the chase of this off-limits little brunette. Maybe he has finally met his match… But Rosie has a few surprises of her own which will make it remarkably more difficult for him to get close to her.

*Please note that this is a companion novel to Nothing Left to Lose*

Our Review
5 Stars!

Hi. Lorna here!

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of Enjoying The Chase for an honest Review.

After meeting Nate in Nothing Left to Lose, I was really looking forward to reading Nate's story and boy, was he worth the wait! I devoured this book I honestly could not put it down (it did help that hubby and kids were AWOL for the weekend lol), so I had perfect peace and quiet to sit back with my feet up and relax.

I loved every single moment of reading this story. Kirsty had me hooked from chapter one.
Enjoying The Chase has some real laugh out loud moments, mainly with Nate and his chat up lines. I experienced every emotion whilst reading this book from laughing out loud to sighing, swooning A LOT, frustration, and a few tears. (Lol) I loved it!

Nate is an extremely hot S.W.A.T officer who is used to women falling at his feet and into his bed…that is until he meets Rose who actually seems immune to his charms and incredibly cheesy chat up lines, which intrigues Nate, and the Chase is on!

Rose is a school teacher and best friends with Anna (from Nothing left to lose) who has no time for players, and Nate is a definitely a player. Rose has been hurt and there is no way she is going to let a player break her heart all over again. She is steering clear of Officer Nate Peters, that's for sure..

“Im happy on my own now; my life is finally back on track after five years of shit. I dont need a man to make me happy anymore. I. Dont. Need. You,” she stated, breaking the last sentence up for emphasis.

I could see she meant it, and I was going to have to work my ass off to change that. Could I get behind the huge defensive wall that shed obviously built around her heart? Could she make herself vulnerable again? And could I trust myself not to hurt her? For a split second I considered just leaving, like shed asked, just walking away in case I wasnt man enough for this task. But I didnt want to leave. I liked her, probably way too much for my own good. I could easily see myself falling for her, hell, Id probably fall for her long before she let down her defences for me, and I would be the one with the broken heart in the end.

“You dont need me, but you want me,” I whispered, inching my face closer to hers, begging her with my eyes to give me a shot.

Her breath seemed to catch in her throat, her face turned to complete panic as she struggled to stay composed.

She didnt say anything, so I continued. “You want me to fight for you, you want me to stay here and tell you that everythings going to be okay. You want me to promise that Ill never hurt you. You want me to keep begging you for a shot.”

I pressed my lips to the corner of her mouth, kissing gently. She whimpered and closed her eyes as her whole body tensed against mine.

“You want me to prove to you that not all guys are lying, cheating scumbags.”

 I kissed her nose lightly.

“You want me to restore your faith in men.”

I kissed the other corner of her mouth; I could feel her trembling.

“You want me to need you back…” I whispered, my lips brushing against hers. I wasnt going to kiss her though; I wanted her to do that. I wanted her to take down the first brick in that wall that shed built and then Id work on the rest, she just needed to make the first move and take a chance. “Dont you?” I whispered, silently praying for a yes.

This is my favourite book of Kirsty’s so far and look forward to reading more of her books! (Ahem, when is your next book release Kirsty? Because I have read them all! Lol.) I would definitely, and I have, recommend this book to my friends.

A brilliant 5 star read for me.

The Author
Kirsty Moseley
My name is Kirsty. I was born in Hertfordshire, England. In 2000 I moved to Norfolk, it was there that I met my husband, Lee. Now, what can I say about Lee, apart from everyone should have one? He's my biggest supporter, and I wouldn't be where I am today without his encouragement and endless support. He is my inspiration behind most of my male leads, I always try to bring a little of him in somewhere, be it his kindness, selflessness, or just his ability to make me feel treasured. In 2005, I was gifted with the birth of my son. He is, and always will be, the best thing I have ever done in my life. As you can probably tell, I'm a very proud mummy. I have always been interested in writing, but after the birth of my son I accidentally came across an amateur writing site. After a couple of months of just reading on there, I finally plucked up the courage and posted one of my stories. I was shocked and overwhelmed by the support of readers on there and they gave me the confidence to get where I am today. In April 2012, I self-published my first novel ‘The Boy Who Sneaks in my Bedroom Window’. And in October 2012 I took the plunge again, publishing my second novel, 'Always You.' Lastly, if I had to sum myself up in one word, it would probably be ‘daydreamer’ – but unlike most of my school teachers, I don’t necessarily view that as a bad thing. After all, I read somewhere once that books are like waking dreams….
