I was given this ARC to read for an honest review. This is book 5 in the Dragon Guard series. I had not read the previous books prior to this one.

When we first pick up with Devon he is sitting bedside by his mate. She has been in a coma for a long time and no one is sure when she will wake up.
Anya was cast into a coma by black magic and she is in a deep fog that she can't seem to wake up from and Devon is convinced by his Dragon Breathern to take her back to their home to help her heal.

You can't help but fall in love with Devon as he convinces Anya they are meant to be and even Anya cannot deny their strong bond to him. She needs him on a level she doesn't understand. As they work to uncover what secrets have been hidden to her; the dragon brotherhood fights their long time enemy Andrew that betrayed them long ago and is back to seek revenge.

Julia Mills had me hooked into this book and the love between Devon and Anya from the beginning. I couldn't put the book down. The build up seemed slow in places as they hunted for the traitor. We learn there is something special within Anya, but it was a crazy surprise what it was and how it all came full circle.

This book and series is a must read. I give it 4.5****

I am a sucker for a happy ending and love some hot sweaty sex with a healthy dose of romance.I am still working on my story but believe it will contain all of the above with as much SPICE as I can work into it.
