I was ruthless.
I was feared.
I had sacrificed. Myself. Her. Everything...
Living in a world where I was worth more dead than alive was a choice. I was a bad man, never claimed to be anything else. I’ve done things I’m not proud of. Seen things that can’t be unseen. I’ve caused pain that I can’t undo.
It was all my choice.
Every decision.
Every order.
Right and wrong never mattered.
Until her.
She was under my protection, until she became my obsession.
But who was going to save her...
From. Me. The devil himself.

Fate brought us together. Destiny destroyed us.

“Go stretch again, cariƱo,” I ordered in a dominant tone. Nodding to the barre.
“I’m fine,” she stubbornly replied. Shaking her legs and arms out. Getting back into position, looking at me through the mirror.
I cocked my head to the side, arching an eyebrow. She narrowed her eyes at me, but begrudgingly listened. I pressed play, allowing the melody to once again take over. She placed her leg on the lowest barre, making her ass stick out in my direction.
Tempting me.
She closed her eyes, needing to get lost in the music, wanting to push away all the negative thoughts, already feeling discouraged. I stood, taking off my suit jacket. Rolling up the sleeves of my collared shirt as I stepped onto the hardwood floor. I slowly came up behind her, catching her off guard.
She froze, turning around, opening her eyes. Peering up at me through her lashes. “What are you doing?”
I leaned forward against her ear, grinning. “I’m helping you stretch.” Getting down on my knees in front of her.
Her eyes dilated. The feeling of disappointment replaced with nothing but lust. She placed her arms out to the side, resting up against the barre, supporting her weight. I grabbed her ankle, lifting it up in the air, rubbing along her leg as it was fully stretched, before setting it on the lowest barre. Running my other hand up her side, easing her over toward the extended leg. She understood what I was doing, reaching for her ankle, stretching. Standing back up, bringing her arms above her head, I caressed along her leg again, casually turning her torso so her leg was still placed on the barre behind her.
Her breathing hitched as I touched her all over her lower body. My lips softly kissing the inside of her thigh to where she wanted my mouth the most.

Review by Kristi Lynn

This is the story of Alejandro Martinez and Lexi. Martinez, known as El Diablo is a ruthless man who is feared by everyone. He owns everything and no one messes with him or what was his. Lexi is a sweet and sassy ballerina who has had a rough life and faced tragedy after tragedy. The one constant in her life was the devil himself who kept popping up at different times when she needed him most. Does fate have something in store for these two? Would Lexi be able to find happiness and love after so much heartbreak? Does El Diablo have a heart or is the ruthless and feared man really what you see is what you get?

What I Loved About This Story
Absolutely EVERYTHING!!! I prayed and hoped for this book and story from M so I was elated when I heard she was going to write it and she did not disappoint me at all. This is M Robinson’s best work to date. I fell in love with this story and these characters. This book has some darker elements, which completely speaks to me as I love the dark in books. While there are elements of dark, there is still M’s signature angst, her signature sexy scenes that will melt your panties off and her signature WTF moments that will have you cursing her name several times. She takes you on a roller coaster of a ride and quite frankly I did not want to get off.

Lexi is by far my favorite female lead that M has written. She has been through so much and suffered so much heartache but is so very strong. She has a smart mouth on her and is full of sass and fights for what she wants. I was in awe of her character. I cheered for her and routed for her to find every happiness she truly deserved. Martinez, my devil!! I LOVE this man. I have always been a fan of the complete bad boy, arrogant and cocky lead characters. This guy takes the cake. He is a complete jerk but underneath it all you see and know why he is this way. Throughout the book you will want to strangle him, you will love him, you will curse him, and you will go through these emotions many times. Martinez will consume you, own you and at times he will destroy you, but you will love him all the same.

This is one journey you want to go on and you will be happy you did so. There is so much to the story, with twists and turns you will not see coming. I love the way M weaves this tale. You will be reading along happily and then BAM, she throws you for a loop. Be prepared to devour this book in one sitting because it is that good! Cancel your plans and find a comfy spot because once you start you will not be able to stop reading.

What I Did Not Love About This Story
There was not anything I did not like or love about this story.

This book is in my top reads for 2016. I give it five rocking stars and would recommend it to EVERYONE!!! M Robinson has out done herself with this one.
