Title: Food Lust
(A Crimson Confession #1)
Author: JD Lexx
Genre: Erotica
Synopsis
For some, the kitchen represents a sanctuary of the senses—a mergence of soul and sustenance that licks at the flesh while teasing the mind’s pleasure. To others, it’s but a steely hive of horror. And then there’s JESSICA AMES, a canned soup kind of girl in a land of haute cuisine whose aversion to culinary adventure once seemed all but incurable. But when she catches the eye of celebrity chef MARCO ADRIANO at a pretentious rooftop soiree, his uniquely sensual take on food whets an appetite that may just prove insatiable. If only they’d had more time…

What I loved:
I am still in awe over what I read. It wasn’t something that you read and just say it was great or it sucked. JD Lexx forces you to EXPERIENCE the story. A lot of us feel that food in itself holds its own sensuality. Combine food with sex, and you have explosive stories and squirm worthy thoughts entering your fantasies. JD has taken a very under used story line and breathed new life into it. His writing is intelligent, and he doesn’t shy away from using his vocabulary to describe the scenes between Jessica and Chef Marco. I don’t want to give too much away, but the humor, the dialogue, and the sex was all infused with eroticism unlike anything I have read before. The combination of sexual discovering between these two and food, really lends to the title.
What I didn’t like:
The length. If I am being honest, it was such an amazingly told story, I didn’t want it to end. Maybe we will see more of these two in the future.
Overall:
JD Lexx has gained a new fan. The bookworld is so saturated with erotic stories, but this breathed new life into erotica for me. I was so “over it” as they say having read the same type of stories over and over with small differences. Thank you JD for making me remember why I fell in love with this genre in the first place. I have seen some writers who write intelligently like you, but have allowed reviewers and what’s popular to get to them to the point they “dumb down” their styles. DO NOT LET THIS HAPPEN. The genre needs you.
