Redemption – the action of saving or
being saved from sin, error or evil
Redemption
Island is a place where Tack and Juliet go for redemption of their past
transgressions. Meant to be alone on the island as a means of self-discovery
and to avoid punishment these two characters go on a journey. It’s a journey of
self-discovery, awakening, forgiveness, unexpected twists and turns, and so
much more.
This was my
first LB Dunbar book and it will most certainly not be the last. The author led
me on a thought provoking excursion. This book was full of twists and turns,
unexpected plot turns, and some moments that had me scratching my head and
saying WTF? While I loved the story development with Tack and Juliet together,
their singular journeys are what really captured my interest. I felt the pain,
guilt, regret, loneliness and utter vulnerability of these characters. This
book is unlike any I have ever read and I read A LOT. It was such a unique tale
and had my interest from the very beginning. I could not out it down and cannot
wait for the conclusion to this story.
With only
two characters (some secondary characters make brief appearances) I thought LB
did a superb job with keeping my interest. I was truly captivated by this book.
Her descriptive nature painted a beautiful picture throughout and I could
easily close my eyes and imagine the island, the scenery, the characters, etc. Bravo
for taking a leap of faith and doing something so extraordinarily different.
I give this
book five well deserved stars and recommend it to everyone. This is a must
read, do not miss book!
About the Author
Avid drinker of Coca-Cola, L.B. Dunbar loves the sweet things in life. Her affair with all things romantic began with her first book at the tender age of six: Goldilocks and the Three Bears. One can never forget her first! From there, the reading journey includes a deep love of fairy tales, medieval knights, regency debauchery, and alpha males. She loves a deep belly laugh and a strong hug. Occasionally, she has the energy of a Jack Russell terrier. Accused, yes, that’s the correct word, of having an over active imagination; to her benefit, such an imagination works well. Author of over a dozen novels, she’s created small town worlds, rock star mayhem, and MMA chaos. Her other duties in life include: mother to four growing children and wife to the one and only.
