I met her when I was sixteen.
I fell in love with her when
I was seventeen.
She brought me to my knees
when I was twenty.
I loved her against reason.
I loved her against hope.
I loved her against all odds.
Now she's back, a constant
reminder of what I lost, what could have been.
I hate her.
I resent her.
I still love her.
Can I forgive her...
Will she be my end once again
or my beginning?

Review by Kristi Lynn
This is the story of Dylan and Aubrey. After books two, Forbid Me ended, I was chomping at the bit to get this story. This was book three in the Good Ol’ Boys Series. We saw glimpses of them in the other stories and I couldn’t wait to find out more. Dylan is your typical cocky, arrogant man whore. He broody, moody and doesn’t do relationships with women. Aubrey is new to town and is as feisty as they come. She doesn’t pull any punches and calls Dylan out on his behavior and treatment of women. These two have a chemistry like no other, but life and circumstances happen that change everything and rock both of them to their core. Can they find their way back to each other? Will the challenges and obstacles thrown at them be the end of them?
These characters
were AMZEBALLS! I absolutely loved Dylan! He is the broody, alpha male we all
love, but he takes it to another level. He is perfection! He is a complete
a**hole but in the most lovable of ways. When he loves, he loves hard and
completely. I have a standing top five of book boyfriends and this domineering
guy has shoved his way into it. Aubrey is a feisty girl who is a bit broken. She
is strong in her convictions but circumstances make her become a shell of
herself. I loved these two main characters. I know she had been through a lot
and I went from wanting to hug her to wanting to shake her. I could empathize
with her however as I am familiar with what she experienced in this book! I
also love catching up with characters from the past books and seeing how their lives
intertwine.
What I
Loved
This books
was everything!!! It was an emotional roller coaster that had me laughing, crying,
swearing and cursing M. This book was full of angst, drama, tears, emotions,
etc. I devoured this read and could not get enough of Dylan and Aubrey’s
journey. M out did herself with this book. I have always been a fan of her
writing and storytelling, but she upped the game and took this to a completely
new level. The highs were high and the lows you could feel in your gut and
core. Her character development and the way she weaves all of the books
together is masterful. This book is full
of the “feels” you want from a book and I really think with each book I read, M
gets better and better. She made me cry and that in itself is huge. She has
become a go to author and an author I will always one click regardless of book
type.
What I Didn’t
Love
There was
nothing about this book that I did not love!
This book
can be read as a stand-alone, but it is recommended (by me) to read the others
in the series to understand all characters and their place. It is a top read
for me this year and definitely sits in my tops of all reads for me. That is
saying something considering the amount of books I read. I would recommend this
book to anyone and give it five rocking deserved stars!
